The less we train/sail, the less chance we have to get a decent ranking...

Let's meditate on this for a while

Attersee, bucolique lac de montagne, mais très peu venté.

Seulement 3 régates "lotto" qui ne permettent pas de valider cette manche (4 régates minimum)

En route pour l'Autriche et l'Attersee à 750km de Rolle.

Nous régaterons pendant 3 jours à Seewalchen am Attersee (www.sck.at) avec l'ambition d'améliorer sérieusement la 9ème place de la Spring Cup...

The sun is back, weak east wind and 2 races in the morning

West wind and another 2 races in the afternoon.

Disappointing 9th rank overall, best ranking 4th in race 1.

Le bateau est en préparation au chantier naval Aebi: peinture teflon, polish, accastillage, etc...

Mise à l'eau prévue début avril.

Bien finir la saison pour bien commencer la nouvelle??

Après la contre-performance des championnats suisses, nous avons procédé à un intense débriefing qui nous a amené à apporter des modifications technique au bateau.

Samedi, dans un vent du sud très « shifty » de  4 à 12 nœuds, nous avons pu courir 3 manches (une 4^ème manche a été partiellement courue puis annulée par le CC pour manque de vent). Le soleil a même fini par percer et ses rayons nous ont quelque peu réchauffés !

Tough, tough!!!

We just come back from the first esse850 Swiss Championship, the level of the class keeps going up, not only because of the fact that more and more pro's are sailing in the class but because the average level of the top boats keeps going up. Which means any error is paid back by places lost, this from the start to the finish.

Let's take things in the order, wednesday we put the boat in the water in Spiez, everything is fine, we more her on the hotel's dock which means a 25m meter walk between room and boat... Thursday first day of racing in a wonderfull panorama, with the Alps all around, forest and little chalets all over the place.
